This 100% cotton sashiko thread is Prepared for Dye (PFD) - which means it has been bleached for a clean white, but has not been treated to resist dye.

If you use this product undyed for regular stitching it will pick up dye from other sources, such as the fabric you're using, or washing with other dye-bleeding items in the laundry.
