Celebrate 250 years of Jane Austen with us!
After much hype and waiting, the Jane Austen regency-era reproduction fabrics have arrived! (We're still waiting for the Emma quilt kit and various fun Jane Austen-themed items)
A few prints are specifically inspired by her 1815 novel, Emma, but most are reproductions from the coverlet quilt made around 1810 by Jane, her sister, Cassandra, and their mother. There are at least 64 different fabrics included! We love looking at these bolts of fabric. It is amazing to see an entire bolt of fabric reproduced from a teeny tiny diamond!
Riley Blake has been reproducing the fabrics from the Jane Austen coverlet quilt since 2020 and has since released collections celebrating Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice, Mansfield Park, and Emma. Each reproduction print is named after a character in one of Austen’s novels! Take this is opportunity to stitch up a beautiful quilt, bag, garment, or other project with beautiful regency prints named after your favourite characters.
We even have a quilted panel called "Jane Austen A to Z" (also available as a kit). Make it into a book or a quilt for yourself or a future Janite!
