Do you have a tween that is interested in sewing?
Join us for a fun and educational series of classes where students will learn sewing skills and techniques while making some beginner friendly projects. In the first class, students will make a fun infinity scarf and learn how to follow a pattern, topstitch and make pleats. In the second class, students will make a bistro-style half apron and learn how to make a pocket, a lining, and how to make and attach binding. The third project takes these skills a step further: students will learn how to attach a zipper as well as basic quilting techniques while making a useful zipper pouch that will fit documents, a laptop, tablet, or whatever students can imagine.
Classes will be from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Wednesday, April 26th: Class One - Infinity Scarf
Wednesday, May 24th: Class Two - Bistro Apron
Wednesday, June 21st: Class Three - Zippered Portfolio
We are also including a FREE pre-class Get to Know Your Machine session on Wednesday, April 12th from 6pm - 8pm, so that students can make sure they are familiar with their machine* and ready for their first class.
*If they don't have a machine to use for these classes, one can be borrowed from the store for classroom use - please contact us once you register to reserve a machine.
